I am finding character design a real struggle and I am finding it really difficult to invent something from my imagination. I need reference!! I find that I keep coming back to this faceless nature man (because I never know how to draw facial features and the song reminds me of nature) but I really want to move away from this and do something new. Maybe a better approach could be to the something directly from nature (i.e. a mountain, leaf, tree and personify it)?? Then I already have a base shape to work on top of. I think that a mountain could be interesting - this would also work well for 3D because I'm going skiing next week.
